FRENCH DRAIN INSTALLATION CLEVELAND, OH

What is a French Drain?

Our “High-Flow French Drain” is designed to take standing pools of water in a yard, drain it below the surface and redirect it elsewhere. This allows for faster draining in major rains and helps dry out the yard in that particular area.

A French Drain is the perfect solution to the “standing water” you may experience after rain or heavy snow melt. Our team only uses the best quality materials when building these systems, because we know that cheaper pipes, less stone, and poor workmanship will lead to an unhappy customer in a short period of time. Our drains all come with a one year warranty from the date of completion.

Expert Installation with High Quality Materials

We use the highest quality materials and make sure to install a trench wide enough to handle the column of water and prevent premature clogging of the system. Other contractors try to use small trenchers, no fabric, or a small amount of stone. This gets the job done faster and cheaper, but these trenches will not function properly for a long period of time.

The E&S Services process is to excavate a trench at a minimum of 12” wide and a slope of 1% or more. Once the trench is formed, we install a high quality, high flow non-woven geotextile that is strong enough not to tear yet has the ability to let a volume of water flow through quickly without clogging the fabric. A thin layer of washed river rock (gravel) is installed to lay the perforated pipe. Once the perforated pipe is installed and set to the proper pitch, we add more gravel to just below finished grade. Once filled, the excess non-woven fabric is folded over the top of the layer of gravel to fully enclose the gravel and pipe French drain system. This protects the system from sediment and debris. The finished layer can be either top dressed with gravel or some other type of stone or grass to blend with the lawn.

Drainage Solutions Built to Last

Stormwater drainage solutions should be built to last.  This is especially true of French drains.  Rushed installation or cheap products mean your French drain will eventually need repaired or replaced. At E&S Services, our experienced technicians use only high-quality supplies to ensure your drain will last for years to come.
